Printing cylinder, anvil roller and anilox roller are all separately driven. As an unique advantage, the printing cylinder of S5 requires no additional gears. S5 can easily handle high printing quality, especially for very sensitive substrates.

As an option, die cutting unit are controlled by servo and combination of Pneumatic-hydraulic pressure system. No manual adjustment is required and pressure is controlled more precisely and easily. Matrix stripping is an optimized snow ball structure with extra motorized supporting roll to achieve stable running for x-small and special-shaped labels.

S5 has robust sliding rails across every flexo unit on which cold foil, lamination, de/relam ,turning bar, multi-ply label frame, screen unit, hot stamping and etc. can be easily applied inline. Inkjet, rotogravure and other functional units can be easily installed inline and therefore extends printing process for more needs.

As an option, S5 is equipped with Spande’s own developed smart registration system: “M TRACK”. It is basically controlled by optical sensor and high speed counter module to allow rapid and precise register control under both directions automatically on all kinds of substrates.
